Heatpacks are used to instantly raise the player's body temperature to the standard 36 degrees. They can be found just about anywhere. Heatpacks are best used as a preventative measure to minimize the risk of an infection, which requires the much more rare Antibiotics to cure.

god, 42 celsius. That's a seizure prone brain damaging fever!

I've only ever noticed cold when running sea ops at night. Transferring stuff to the islands required fires at both ends for our ferryman to warm up at.

@Derposki 37 celsius

I got cold during a rainy night, I didnt even notice. Then i noticed i was loosing blood around green mountain, ran down to the hospital at cherno, during that trip i lost around 3-4k blood, after you get cold the heatpack wont work to get you well. Use one of these before you cough.

The only time I have ever become "cold" (slight shaking, less than pain,) was when I was sprinting for quite a distance, in the rain, at night. Personally, I don't carry any heatpacks with me, because of the rarity of becoming cold enough to shake.

When you stand in the rain or swim to long you can get cold. (36 Celsius) To prevent that you need to use these Heatpacks. You need Anitbitics to cure cold.

A Heating pad that heats when you start the crystallization process, used to provide quick warmth to your body.

I get infections every time I play, heatpacks don't work because I always spawn with red temp and heatpacks don't help and these things are so rare I haven't found them and for some reason my fires never warm me up so I think it's inevitable. I found like 50 blood bags and everything else squared that but no antibiotics. It was an FML moment when the fire didn't warm me up. =(

I've never, ever seen an infection... Pretty sure thats the least of your worries

These are basically useless at the moment. They are intended to raise your body temperature when you get too cold. However, your body-temp only lowers if you are standing in the rain (and possibly swimming?), and even then it only lowers to around 38 Celsius with no effect on your health. In later patches, they may be useful but as of now, don't waste the inventory space picking these up.

I noticed that on the Debug menu, the temperature stopped appearing, perhaps these should be kept on your man, just in case you cough.
